National Puppy Day

Wednesday March 23

If there’s one day a year that everyone can get behind it’s National Puppy Day! If you’re one of those lucky people to have a puppy, or a dog because they were puppies once, then March 23 is the day to spoil them and show them how much you love them.

The day was founded in 2006 by celebrity pet expert Colleen Paige and has become so popular that it is now recognised internationally. National Puppy Day is also about helping save orphaned puppies around the world and educating people about how to raise their pups responsibly.

If you were thinking about getting a puppy, then there’s no better day to do it than on National Puppy Day, and no better place than your nearest rescue organisation. Many shelters and animal orphanages run special events on the day.

For more information, visit nationalpuppyday.com or visit your local rescue group’s Facebook page or website.
