After capturing Suzi the Shar Pei on film, her eyes closed, an endearing smile on her face, Alex titled the image “Zen Dog”, spurning an idea that has now resulted in this glorious coffee table book. Zen Dogs is a stunning collection of 80 photographs of a variety of peaceful canines, with a whole host of breeds featured. Images are accompanied by words of wisdom from two-legged Zen masters, including Buddha, Gandhi and other masters.

I’d love to show my border collie cross this book.. to try and teach him what ‘zen’ is.. he doesn’t know how to stop. Especially if a tennis ball is around.

My boy is a master of zenning out and this book would help me become that way too.
This will be a great coffee table companion, to the book we had made filled with photo’s of our dogs (those no longer with us, and those still beside us making our lives complete).
